When was my car made?

Unfortunately this often asked question can't be definitively answered as no official Australian factory records are known to survive.

Identifying the exact date a particular car was made is not possible.

However, enough unofficial data has been collected to allow fairly close estimates to be made - to within a couple of months for most periods of production.

To lookup the approximate build date of your car, choose the Type and enter your Car No in the box on the right and press the Lookup button.
